Some say it doesn't have the same atmosphere as the older games, but I'm finding it pretty creepy. Not scary, no game really scares me, but the monsters and the story of this series is pretty intense. The family in SH:Homecoming is highly dysfunctional to say the least. I'd read about how great it is and it's more than exceeding my expectations. The tutorial is amazing to say the least. It doesn't feel like a tutorial though since it seemlessly fits in. There are the instructions on how to do this and that, but it's not obtrusive IMHO. Slof has even started modding for it. She replaced the default dog with an Alsation texture she found in the BSA.
