Prohibited Content
By using my forums you agree that you will not promote or post links to the following.

*warez/piracy
*hacking/cracking
*spamming
*attacks against networks or servers
*pornography (do not post pictures any more revealing than a bikini)
*racial hatred
*crimes against humanity
*inappropriate activities or any other actions which violate any applicable laws

----------------------------------
* Despite the forum host being French, this is an English speaking forum, so please do your best so that we can understand what you're saying.

* I would prefer no discussions (at least not in detail) regarding two subjects; religion and politics. There is too much potential for starting flame wars. Any topics which deviate in that direction will be watched closely and should things get out of hand the topic in question will be locked.

* Heated discussions will be allowed in the "Debate" section, however if I see flaming going on I will deal with it by giving the offending party a chance to shape up their act (a warning) and a ban if they persist after the warning. Debate section was removed since nobody used it. The "Ranting and Venting" thread was made a sticky in the general section.

* Should you have something to say to someone that will embarrass or shame them if read in public, then you need to take it to private message (PM). As someone on the receiving end of this I know that it's far more offensive to be called on something in public than to deal with it privately. If I get complaints about this there is a possibility that the person doing the public posting will be warned or possibly banned, depending on the severity of the offense.

* Don't pointlessly spam or bump topics. Until this forum is more active I will look the other way on necro'ing threads if you have something useful or informative to add. Please do not necro threads only to say something simple like "I agree."

* Don't be a mini-mod. Until you are appointed moderator and have that nifty tag next to your name, you need to report problems to me or to moderators. To see who is a moderator on this forum, check here.

* Don't act like you're a 3 year old. I have no patience to be a babysitter. If you start writing in incomprehensible ways you will push my buttons and you will be either banned or warned.

Read the definition of leet speak. For this board, writing in a style that doesn't make sense, as if you're role playing or writing poetry, also falls into the leet speak category. If you want to do role-play or write poetry I have no objections, but you need to start your own thread for that and specifically state in the first post what your intentions are. I have already banned one member for randomly spamming the boards with posts of this type.

* For the time being I won't make specific restrictions as far as censoring what is said outside of the guidelines above, but I reserve the right to do so as this board grows. Parts of this board can be viewed by everyone, so please keep in mind that you are speaking to a mixed audience before you post.

* Don't try and get around the bad word filters. This will just annoy administrators and moderators and annoyed administrators and moderators are not good for your continued membership on these forums. The bad word filters aren't extreme. They only block the more offensive phrases/words.

Regarding email addresses used for registering accounts; if you want to sign up with a "disposable email" temporarily I'll allow it, but if I don't see activity within a couple of weeks after signup then I'll assume you were just checking things out and remove the account. I think that's fair to me for wanting folks who are serious to join the forum, but also fair to you who want to be sure I won't spam you.

*When I mean 'disposable' email I am talking about those email addresses which are valid for only a few minutes to only a few days before expiring. Web based emails such as yahoo, hotmail, gmail etc are perfectly acceptable.

If it means anything, I promise you won't hear from this board unless it's just your activation email or unless you decide you want notifications of your personal messages. I am not a newsletter type of person, so any announcements I need to make will be done here on the forum.

For the rest of you, just an FYI: You don't have to post to keep your account active. Just log in occasionally. This forum has controls which show me the last time you logged in. I may delete inactive users after a few months, but lurkers do not fall in that category - only people who have signed up and then never returned.

I am aware that TES Nexus does not allow the discussion of the mods ripped from other games (Lineage for example), however this forum is not TES Nexus. Because someone has asked me for one of my files, it brings to my attention that I need to lay out what is and is not permissible in this regard.

1. When it comes to mods freely available on other sites, whether you have to register to get to the thread or not, it is permissible to post such links in this forum. If you have to be sneaky or underhanded about it, do not post.

2. It IS NOT PERMISSIBLE to post links going directly to the downloads for such files (example, mediafire/rapidshare/namipan). This is because without the original thread, one cannot see the original terms laid out by the file's author. If you want to swap links like this, use your email or personal messenger.

3. Don't forget to search before asking. This thread is a good place to start. http://savageartistry.darkbb.com/tes-iv-oblivion-general-f4/oblivion-link-share-t3.htm?sid=c6a1d33c5ee159ad1d9b87f80b0766c7

4. Regarding our own file threads here, if we have them in the private area, do not share the direct file links (such as MediaFire/Slingfile, etc) publicly, either by posting them or putting the information in readmes of your own. There are two reasons for this - One, it's disrespectful, and Two, if the files need to be updated or the links need to be changed, the link you post could end up getting broken.

Linking to the file threads themselves should be adequate for most cases where you might want to direct people to get these mods, or you can send them a personal message with the file link.
