PostSubject: WCIF (Mod Detectives)   2/11/2009, 10:04 pm

Instead of asking an unrelated question in one of the file threads, let's start our own mod detectives/wcif thread. This will double as a "mod psychics" thread. Since there's not so many people here to answer the question, we may not know all the answers, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Please do not start WCIF threads. Those will be either merged here to this topic, or deleted. All "WCIF/Does it Exist" questions need to be asked here in this thread.

Added 11/09/09: This thread can also be used for "finds," so if you know of a non-private mod you'd like for the rest of us to know about, you can tell us about it here.

Thanks,
-Admin

Heh, I knew someone would ask that. It's actually my Sher Ja Mountain Lion Companion but using meshes and textures from Waalx Animals and Creatures mod so I can't release him with those files.

You can check WAC out here though. It's a total overhaul of Oblivion currently in Alpha but soon to be Beta. It's perfectly playable and totally stable, but items and enemies need leveling.

You need to register to see the topics.

I have a thread here on this forum about it with some screen shots starting on page 2.

Rather than make a new topic I want to highly recommend this mod. I played it tonight and it took me at least six hours to get through. It's hard but totally worth it. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

The Oubliette
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28105

I've written a big comment when I endorsed it so I won't go through it all again, but it is the best adventure/puzzle/dungeon mod I have ever played. As I mentioned there I haven't really played Oblivion much for a long time except to test my own mods so this was a refreshing and highly enjoyable experience.

The voice acting is excellent and very natural. Some of the puzzles are mind bending and the scripted sequences are brilliant.

When I saw the names of the authors I knew it would be special.

I uploaded a few screen shots but they don't show up. I assume they are pending approval so I'll add them here. I made sure not to use spoiler pics so it's a bit hard to really get an idea of the content but frequent death is a certainty even at high levels and not just by enemies.

The dogs are my private companions so please don't ask for them. I can't release those files.

I don't think it would be a bad idea to use this thread for finds as well. *runs off to edit the first post*

Here's a tip which might help you find some of these things you're looking for. If you're linking them from TES Nexus, look carefully at the file name. In this case, you have the download page # as part of the file name. "13437-2-1201886223.jpg"

The part in bold is the download page. If you plug that number in after "http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=" you will have a link to the Apachii Goddess Store, which is where this picture originated from.
